Student Life At The Garden School Is Built On Care, Connection, and Community.
The Garden School is a dedicated community institution, not an elite academy. We serve 30 students across three age specific classes (ages 3–5), maintaining a strict balance of 10 students per class and an equal ratio of boys and girls. This intimate setting allows teachers to foster personalized academic and emotional growth. Enrichment activities like sports, service, and field trips further ensure our students develop a lifelong love for learning and collaboration.

The Garden School provides two nutritious meals each day for students and staff, ensuring that no child learns on an empty stomach. This commitment promotes equity, improves attendance, and motivates children to come to school and stay engaged. With over 90% daily attendance and little to no food waste, the program stands as a model of care, efficiency, and community well-being.
Nourishing Growing Minds
Growing
Character Through Action

The Garden School shapes Liberia’s future leaders by nurturing integrity, respect, and peace from an early age. Each day begins with the Garden Pledge, a promise to be honest, hardworking, respectful, and nonviolent. Teachers reinforce these values through daily practice, helping students connect their actions to their words. At the heart of the campus stands a palaver hut, a powerful symbol of dialogue and peaceful resolution in Liberian culture.
A Foundation of Excellence & Partnership
Investing in Every Child’s Success
At The Garden School, we know that a child’s growth is a collaborative effort. By combining global expertise with deep local roots, we create an environment where students don't just attend school, they thrive. To ensure our curriculum and teaching methods remain at the highest standard, we prioritize continuous professional development and we believe that parents are our most important partners in education.
Active Parents
Our Parents volunteer regularly at the school, enhancing student ratios and gaining teaching skills they can take back to their homes and communities for continuous learning and reinforcement.
Multi-National Staff Meetings
Our team meets weekly across borders to share insights, solve problems, and align our global vision with the daily needs of our students in Liberia.
Educational Consultants
We work closely with specialized consultants to refine our pedagogy and ensure our students receive a world-class education tailored to their environment.
A Safe Place to Grow
Prioritizing the Health & Security of Our Students
At The Garden School, we believe that children can only reach their full potential when they feel safe, healthy, and supported. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom to include a comprehensive approach to physical security and holistic wellness. We have designed our grounds to be a sanctuary for learning. To ensure our students and staff are protected, our campus features:
Professional Care
We maintain a direct connection with a nearby local clinic, ensuring that our students have access to professional medical support and rapid care when needed.
Safe Design
Our classrooms are built with low windows for natural ventilation and protected enclosures, providing a peaceful and secure setting off the main road.
Physical Security
A fully fenced perimeter and dedicated on-site security personnel to manage campus access.
Teamwork Through Sports
At The Garden School, sports are more than play, they’re a classroom for life lessons. Through our soccer team and daily physical activities, students learn teamwork, communication, and leadership. They discover the value of working together toward a common goal, celebrating both victory and effort. Sports teach our children discipline, resilience, and respect for one another -- skills that extend far beyond the field and help shape confident, compassionate future leaders of Liberia.
